I can see she took a creative risk here and I feel it didn't work. I think this is the type of song that needed a little more time to refine just the performance of it because it is so unique! Good for you for being true to your awesome creativity which is more important than just this one contest!
Beth's songs in this competition are creative and brave. Her voice is contagious. She is a fun entertainer - lots of presence. She is a winner.
Agree with the above comments re creative risk--clever lyrics, reminds me of Ani DeFranco. Fun, provocative. Good use of non-verbal and rhythmic melody. Push harder for those concrete metaphors: smooth and strong too conventional.
I like this song - her voice & sounds are unique and fun. She is a great performer!
